 We assist in providing recommendations for structural drawings. Our coordination efforts have proved beneficial in reducing potential issues prior to the start of construction. During the structural drawing review process, we observe the wood framed portion of the drawings and provide a detailed report with feedback and mark-ups, to include but not be limited to the supporting structures including beams, columns, bearing wall assemblies, and load supporting devices. Details are also reviewed for clarity and constructability. 

While we do not comment on engineering means or methods, we provide recommendations based on our years of experience in the field. When conflicts are noted in the structural drawings, we provide a detailed report noting the location and condition of any items to help prevent unwarranted costs and to reduce field RFIs. With 30 years of experience in the industry, we can assist in ensuring that the architectural and structural drawings are up to code and can be safely and efficiently constructed. 

 We also provide quality control observations for wood framed new construction for single and multi-family framing dwellings, including townhouses, garden style apartments, podium, and wrapped type 3A and 5 construction. While on site, we observe the wood framed portion of the building with a micro level approach, as all floors and individual units are assessed, with a maximum of 40 units per site visit. We provide feedback on the prefabricated roof and floor trusses and supporting structures, including beams, studs, columns, and other load transfer devices to ensure they match the county approved drawings. RSCCS will also observe all hardware for uplift, hold downs, shear wall assemblies, anchoring, and ensure all supporting devices are installed as shown on the plans. 

When conflicts or inconsistencies arise, we provide a detailed report noting the location and condition of any noncompliant items to the team. With our years of experience in the industry, we have learned how to assist in bridging the communication gap with our clients and trades to avoid unnecessary construction errors, wasted materials, and time delays. Lastly, and most important, we are able to provide peace of mind to our clients that the building is being constructed as safely, cost effective, and timely as possible without sacrificing quality that can be overlooked due to the fast pace of construction.
